Good question. We also used ride-sharing when we were in Seattle. In Santa Fe, it was the only way to get around. In Atlanta, it’s available, but usually tourists use it. However on one long splurge trip, we did get the luxury service so we wouldn’t have to bother with the car. It got so expensive that we gave up on it.
Opportunity cost is a real thing. Most of us don't really pay attention to it until we are in the middle of an event where not only see but even feeel it.
Sound advice Nikki. It is so weird that it costs so much for newer car repairs. With so much computerized I wonder if the number of incoming mechanics who can keep up w/ these computerized bells and whistles will be enough to fill auto repair shops.
Still driving my 20-year-old car
😉
Outside of NYC and maybe San Francisco, how many individuals use ride-sharing exclusively as a transportation substitute?

There is some evidence to suggest that there are not.
I feared that.
Great advice. :)
